中学時代から憧れていた深澤ゆきから自転車部に誘われた、自転車に乗れない高校生篠崎ミコト。ゆきの期待に応えるために自転車部に入部する。
自転車部のキャプテン・遥輔や副キャプテン・寺尾、大和、ゆきといった面々から指導・刺激を受けながらトレーニングを重ね、苦難の末に自転車で疾走したとき、15年間くすぶりっぱなしのミコトの心の中で何かがはじけた！
「自転車を本気でやってみたい！」 愛用のロードバイク・トレック1200で初めて出た桜ヶ丘ロードレースで山岳賞を獲得するが、トップとの時間差がつきすぎたため失格となる。しかし、ミコトの自転車青春ストーリーは始まったばかり！
